Technical Trainer (Wind Energy)

Location: In office at the National Training Center in Moro, Oregon, United States; approximately 40% travel to wind plants and other locations is required.

Salary: $87,600–$109,500 base salary, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Review training materials and program effectiveness, then develop improvements and best practices.
• Develop and deliver instructor-led, web-based, self-paced, and in-person training programs.
• Train personnel on EAM processes, technical operations, safety, supply chain, inventory, timekeeping, expense reporting, and related operational systems.
• Collaborate with operations management, plant personnel, accounting, supply chain, and EAM systems stakeholders to improve processes, procedures, and training across the wind fleet.
• Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to field technicians on procedures, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Manage external training professionals and support workforce development by identifying knowledge gaps and recommending targeted solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field, plus 3+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with Oracle, SAP, or another mainstream EAM system.
• At least 3 years of training experience in an energy production environment.
• Experience delivering instructor-led training with Microsoft PowerPoint and virtual learning platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
• Advanced computer skills with EAM systems, Microsoft Office, data management, and reporting systems.
• Experience coaching and developing technical personnel in field operations or industrial environments, including strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or Engineering.
• Experience with power plant and electrical systems operations.
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish.
• Experience adapting training and communication styles for learners with different experience levels.
