Manager, Product Development - Business Insurance Auto

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $101,300–$167,000 annual base salary, plus performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and enhance product strategies, business scopes, go-to-market plans, and agile actions for business insurance auto products.
• Research markets, competitors, and consumers to identify new products, services, markets, and enhancement opportunities.
• Analyze product performance, data, systems, and root causes to recommend solutions and measurable action plans.
• Design and implement system and process solutions aligned with product strategy, compliance needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead product enhancement launches, rollout plans, post-implementation monitoring, and reporting to leadership.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders; coach and lead cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of relevant experience with insurance products, underwriting, coverage, rules, compliance and regulatory environments, and insurance financials.
• Product development experience is preferred, particularly in financial services.
• Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, judgment, innovation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to evaluate data and systems, identify deficiencies and opportunities, recommend changes, and translate findings into business impact.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and lead cross-functional teams.
