Manager, Product Leader (Retirement Products)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid office environment. Occasional travel of less than 10% may be required for internal meetings or due diligence visits.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus of 17.5%.

What you will do

• Define market analysis and competitive intelligence strategies, identifying trends, market shifts, and growth opportunities.
• Translate consumer, distributor, demographic, and industry insights into product strategies, value propositions, and portfolio roadmaps.
• Lead retirement product development, feature prioritization, profitability objectives, market positioning, sales targets, and launch strategies.
• Oversee product incubation, feasibility assessments, research and development, hypothesis testing, and opportunity sizing.
• Partner with Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Operations, vendors, distributors, and other stakeholders to optimize product strategy and go-to-market plans.
• Present research, financial analysis, business cases, innovation opportunities, and portfolio recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• At least seven years of product development experience in the retirement industry.
• In-depth knowledge of retirement product features, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
• Working knowledge of profitability metrics, market analysis, customer research, opportunity sizing, and risk, legal, and compliance assessments.
• Strategic thinking, facilitation, leadership, coaching, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; willingness to pursue higher education or professional designations.

• Professional designations such as CLU, ChFC, CFP, MBA, or PMP.
