Process Engineer (Minerals)

Location: Onsite at mill plants in Offerman, Jesup, Nahunta, or Patterson, Georgia, United States

Salary: $73,947–$115,542 annually, plus a 6% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide process and technical support for mining and separation operations.
• Work with operations to adjust and optimize mill performance, heavy mineral recovery, throughput, and product grades.
• Create daily reports covering feed grade, throughput capacity, product output, and recovery using Aspen Process Explorer and/or SEEQ.
• Conduct hands-on visual process inspections and support engineering troubleshooting and incident investigations.
• Participate in capital project consulting, Process Hazards Analysis reviews, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, and other process and safety reviews.
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Process Flow Diagrams, and Management-of-Change documentation.

Requirements

• Four-year bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Interest in working hands-on with employees across different levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, or PowerPoint.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other non-immigrant status sponsorship, is not available.
• The role requires onsite work at Georgia mill plants.

Nice to have

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or Mining Engineering.
• At least one year of experience in a technical role.
• Experience in an industrial production environment.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers.
