Location: Hudson, Massachusetts, with hands-on work in MIT's cleanroom in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Onsite role with approximately 10% travel; relocation eligible.

Salary: $128,000–$176,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

  • Design, run, and analyze complex wafer-level process engineering experiments for multiple products.
  • Characterize hardware and develop methods, technologies, and instrumentation for advanced wafer-processing systems.
  • Measure film properties, interpret data, and troubleshoot complex process engineering issues.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, product documentation, and process engineering specifications.
  • Plan and execute process engineering projects while following safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, suppliers, and R&D teams to resolve issues and implement new technologies.

Requirements

  • Experience in semiconductor process engineering.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following processes: PVD, CVD, etch, or RTP.
  • Ability to design, run, and test wafer-level experiments in a complex laboratory environment.
  • Expertise in a specialized process engineering discipline and sophisticated analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate difficult technical concepts and lead others in solving complex problems.
  • CMOS or compound semiconductor device integration experience is preferred.
