Process Engineer IV - West Region

Salary: USD 129,000–200,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead process discipline execution for large and complex projects, including scope, budgets, schedules, and staffing.
• Develop advanced process designs, construction drawing packages, specifications, system programming, master plans, and process strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, clients, vendors, construction partners, and other disciplines.
• Review calculations, drawings, specifications, 3D models, and field conditions to ensure technical quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support construction through RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, progress reporting, commissioning, and startup.
• Mentor engineers and designers and deliver internal process engineering training and knowledge-sharing presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biological, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant process engineering experience for lead-level responsibilities or 15+ years for senior-level responsibilities.
• Experience in design firms, operating companies, and/or construction environments within life sciences or food and beverage industries.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory guidance, and local building codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary and construction teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Irvine, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Master’s degree in a related specialization.
• Technical leadership experience on large or complex projects.
• Experience with site selection, feasibility studies, capacity planning, facility layouts, vendor packages, HAZOPs, HCCPs, and commissioning planning.
