Senior Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Florida, United States. The role requires US citizenship, may involve occasional overtime, weekends, shift work, limited travel within the site, and outdoor work.

hirify.global supports critical launch equipment and systems through its Prototype Development Lab at Kennedy Space Center.

What you will do

• Provide mechanical, pneumatic, fluid systems, and testing support for launch equipment and laboratory systems.
• Inspect and maintain safety equipment, including replacing expired pressure-system components.
• Assemble and repair mechanical systems and troubleshoot inoperative equipment where practical.
• Perform soldering and wire termination to support electrical system assembly.
• Maintain chemical, hazardous waste, laboratory supply, and consumables inventories.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and operationally ready.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• High school diploma or GED plus completion of related technical training.
• At least 10 years of related experience.
• Experience maintaining CNC equipment.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lb and access equipment using stairs, ladders, and platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with CNC and manual mills and lathes, laser cutting and engraving equipment, water jet cutting, sheet metal equipment, band saws, and related fabrication systems.
• Experience with HAAS mills and lathes; certification is a plus.
• Electrical and computer troubleshooting skills; certification is a plus.
• Forklift training or the ability to become an operator.
• Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint proficiency, strong organization, communication, and customer interface skills.
