Engineering Technician I (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Assist with the construction and assembly of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical equipment and components.
• Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test equipment, systems, and electrical devices from unit to component level.
• Set up and run environmental tests while ensuring products meet operational and quality specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Work with engineers and technicians to solve technical problems and follow standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean work area and comply with safety protocols.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field, or at least 2 years of related experience as a substitute.
• 0–1 years of technician or related experience.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment, measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Basic understanding of electronic and mechanical systems.
• Active Secret U.S. security clearance, or an interim Secret clearance before the first day of employment; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience or certifications in aerospace and defense.
• Manufacturing experience and familiarity with calibration and testing equipment.
• Experience with low-voltage electronics, RF test equipment, electrical harnessing, or IPC certifications.
