What you will do
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc performance reports and identify sales and inventory trends.
- Conduct market, competitor, seasonal trend, and price research to support buying decisions.
- Partner with Allocation to balance inventory across stores and maximize sell-through.
- Track delivery schedules, coordinate product launches, and distribute product information and training materials.
- Develop local buying strategies and tailored assortments aligned with global financial targets and store-group performance.
- Represent local market insights to Global Merchandising, coordinate with Logistics, and guide retail teams through seasonal product training and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in retail fashion merchandising.
- High accuracy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business acumen, and consistent deadline management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; MicroStrategy or Power BI experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency required.
- Business-level English fluency in written and verbal communication required for the Senior Associate level.
