What you will do
- Design, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot plant automation and process control systems.
- Optimize machine logic and support the installation and startup of new equipment.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on daily operations and capital projects.
- Analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions for reliable plant operations.
- Develop equipment specifications and verify that new installations meet performance and safety expectations.
- Support the operational technology network and integrate plant-floor systems with MES and OT/IT networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of industrial automation and controls experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk HMIs.
- Knowledge of control systems, sensors, I/O, drives, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with network security, firewall configuration, and system integration.
- Strong communication, organization, technical problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to provide on-call production support as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience in discrete manufacturing.
- Experience with Fanuc robots, Cognex vision systems, or Ignition platform integration.
