Senior Automation & Service Engineer (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley)

Location: East Central US; frequent travel to customer sites across the United States and regular trips to Kufstein, Austria; travel requirement: 75–90%

What you will do

• Design and program PLC and HMI systems using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, including Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk, as well as Siemens platforms.
• Develop control logic, operator interfaces, alarms, and interlock concepts from engineering specifications.
• Commission automation systems and perform Factory Acceptance Tests at the Kufstein headquarters.
• Install, start up, validate, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites across the United States and remotely.
• Execute Site Acceptance Tests and ensure compliance with customer, GMP, electrical, machine safety, and information security requirements.
• Create service documentation and maintain software and system records while collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, and Quality.

Requirements

• Technical education in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of field experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Strong expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI systems; Siemens experience is advantageous.
• Experience with commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, service support, industrial controls, electrical systems, and industrial networks.
• Business-fluent English and strong customer communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel 75–90% are also required.
