Senior Data Engineer (Data Harmonization) (BigQuery/Airflow): Building and optimizing standardized financial and operational data pipelines across fragmented regional platforms with an accent on SQL-based ELT, dimensional modeling, and auditable data quality. Focus on designing idempotent Bronze-to-Silver-to-Gold workflows, optimizing BigQuery performance and cost, and supporting migration validation across revenue, GL, and VAT reporting domains.
Location: Fully remote for candidates in the EU, Georgia, or Uzbekistan

What you will do
- Develop and maintain Bronze-to-Silver-to-Gold data pipelines using SQL-based ELT patterns.
- Ingest data from SFTP, APIs, and databases into BigQuery and build curated data marts.
- Design dimensional models with fact and dimension tables, slowly changing dimensions, and surrogate keys.
- Develop and support Apache Airflow DAGs for orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and alerting.
- Optimize BigQuery performance and cost through partitioning, clustering, and query tuning.
- Support metadata management, data lineage, testing, reconciliation, and parallel-run validation during migration from legacy systems.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience designing and building scalable data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, GCP, SQL-based ELT, and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience developing Apache Airflow DAGs and integrating data quality checks into pipeline execution.
- Knowledge of schema evolution, idempotent reprocessing, downstream ERP and reporting integrations, and deployment practices.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Flyway, Terraform, SFTP, APIs, PostgreSQL or AlloyDB, and Teradata.
- Candidate must be located in the EU, Georgia, or Uzbekistan.
