Data Engineer Middle

Location: Remote from Tbilisi, Georgia

What you will do

• Develop high-quality data engineering software using Python and modern technologies.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes and orchestrated data pipelines.
• Ingest data through REST APIs and perform data transformations and loading or unloading.
• Query and transform large volumes of data using SQL and cloud data platforms.
• Monitor data quality and validation in live production systems.
• Investigate technical issues and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Python experience, including strong knowledge of pandas, multiprocessing, and Google Cloud SDK.
• At least 2 years of experience with ETL/ELT technologies such as REST API, GraphQL, and DBT, plus pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow, Astronomer, or DBT Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL databases including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
• Experience working with JSON, AVRO, XML, CSV, compressed files, and encoded data.
• English proficiency at least B2 is required for work in an international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines on cloud architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD deployments and Git.
