Data Warehouse Software Engineer (GCP)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Somerville, Massachusetts office, United States

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 USD per year, based on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain data models and tables in Google BigQuery.
• Write and update SQL transformation logic for business analytics and reporting.
• Work with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into structured tables and views.
• Build, manage, and optimize Looker dashboards and reports.
• Validate data integrity across data marts using validation queries and row-count checks.
• Monitor and maintain basic Apache Airflow DAGs written in Python and apply BigQuery partitioning and clustering practices.

Requirements

• Strong foundational SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and familiarity with window functions.
• Understanding of relational databases, ETL/ELT concepts, data warehouses, tables, views, and data lakes.
• Hands-on or academic experience building dashboards in Looker or similar BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Basic Python scripting and automation skills, with comfort using Git for version control.
• Analytical problem-solving ability, initiative, and strong attention to data accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from the Somerville, Massachusetts office.
