Chemical Production Operator (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Haverhill, Massachusetts, United States; rotating overnight 12-hour shifts from 5:45pm to 5:45am

Salary: $22.84–$31.40 per hour during the training period

What you will do

• Operate chemical process systems and related equipment through a distributed control system.
• Set up production systems, stage and weigh raw materials, and operate filling, labeling, and packaging lines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot processes, maintain operating conditions, and conduct in-process quality control testing.
• Perform minor maintenance and enter work orders and requisitions in the business management system.
• Move materials in heavy containers and support product loading, unloading, and shipment preparation.
• Follow plant safety procedures, complete safety training, and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity, accuracy, attention to detail, and general mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read operating instructions and batch sheets, with basic shop mathematics knowledge.
• Teamwork, communication, active listening, organization, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to lift heavy containers, use material-handling equipment, and respond effectively in critical situations.
• Flexibility to work rotating 12-hour overnight shifts and other off-shift schedules.

Nice to have

• 2–3 years of chemical operation experience.
• Ability to cross-train across operating units.
