Chemical Operator Production

Location: Haverhill, Massachusetts, United States; rotating overnight 12-hour shifts from 5:45pm to 5:45am.

Salary: $22.84–$31.40 per hour during the training period.

What you will do

• Operate chemical process systems and related equipment through a distributed control system.
• Set up production systems, stage and weigh raw materials, and operate filling, labeling, and packaging lines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot processes, maintain operating conditions, and conduct in-process quality control testing.
• Perform minor maintenance and enter work orders and requisitions in the business management system.
• Move heavy containers, handle materials, and assist with product shipment loading and unloading.
• Follow plant safety procedures, complete safety training, maintain a clean work area, and support the Responsible Care Management System.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity, accuracy, attention to detail, and general mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read operating instructions and batch sheets, with basic shop mathematics knowledge.
• Strong safety awareness, communication, active listening, organization, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to lift heavy containers, use material-handling equipment, remain calm in critical situations, and work collaboratively.
• Flexibility to work changing assignments and off-shift overnight hours; 2–3 years of chemical operation experience is preferred.
