Associate PM – Major Construction

Location: Orange, Connecticut, United States; office-based

Salary: $87,600–$109,500 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Manage small gas distribution system projects and programs involving internal teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Plan and coordinate project life-cycle activities, resources, schedules, and costs.
• Track project status, maintain documentation, and prepare monthly reports and management updates.
• Obtain required regulatory and municipal permits and address project risks and issues.
• Develop business cases and budget documents while monitoring project costs.
• Support other project managers on moderately complex projects and lead cross-functional teams on straightforward initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with at least two years of project-management-related experience, or an associate’s degree with six years of project-management experience.
• At least two years of related project experience, including leadership responsibilities on small- to medium-sized cross-functional projects.
• Knowledge of project-management methodologies, tools, and techniques, including Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver project reports and presentations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and connect project activities to business strategy.

Nice to have

• Coursework in project management.
• PMP certification.
• Construction-environment or gas-utility project-management experience.
• Strong SAP or similar application experience.
