Project Manager (Assc - Sr) (Utilities)

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. Work takes place at homes, offices, power plants, nuclear facilities, and construction sites, with travel typically up to 25% and additional travel possible.

Salary: $74,551–$128,688 per year, depending on project manager grade.

What you will do

• Plan, organize, coordinate, execute, monitor, control, and close base, intermediate, and complex projects.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, staffing, procurement plans, and project controls.
• Lead planning meetings, project and outage updates, stakeholder communications, and project status reporting.
• Manage contracts, requests for proposals, vendor selection, negotiations, performance, quality, and compliance.
• Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, construction, startup, plant, operating company, contractor, and supplier activities.
• Promote safe delivery, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, risk mitigation, and team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, computer science, or a related field with 0–5 years of qualified experience depending on grade; equivalent associate degree or high school diploma pathways are available with additional experience.
• Qualified experience may include project management, major construction, estimating, project controls, project engineering, or comparable production-environment experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety, scope control, cost estimating, contracting, quality control, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Ability to work at power plants, nuclear facilities, and construction sites, including hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within NRC limits.
• Ability to perform light physical duties, including walking on unstable surfaces and climbing ladders.

Nice to have

• Experience in utilities, commercial nuclear power, or IT systems.
• PMP certification.
• Three years of experience as a Project Manager Associate or two years as a Project Manager for progression to higher grades.
