Safety Superintendent

Location: Woodward, Oklahoma, United States; onsite facility role

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategies to improve safety performance and strengthen the facility safety culture.
• Lead, coach, and develop safety and security personnel while increasing employee engagement and ownership.
• Maintain occupational safety, health, industrial hygiene, and security programs and monitor performance through metrics, inspections, and trend analysis.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, lead audits and corrective actions, and identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and represent the facility on corporate, industry, regulatory, and community committees.
• Oversee emergency response, security, accountability, preparedness, internal controls, and safety documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive safety experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience leading safety programs, compliance initiatives, and risk management systems.
• Previous supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety, health, industrial hygiene, and regulatory requirements, with excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CSP, CRSP, CIH, COSS, ROH, CMIOSH, MPH, or equivalent.
