Safety Manager - Mission Critical (Data Centers)

Salary: $130,962.60–$149,671.54 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary safety professional and technical advisor for project leadership, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific environmental, health, and safety plans throughout mobilization, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Monitor OSHA and project-specific compliance through audits, inspections, reviews, and corrective-action tracking.
• Control high-risk activities including fall protection, excavation, confined-space entry, LOTO, crane and rigging operations, steel erection, energized electrical work, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operations.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analyses, safety reporting, emergency preparedness, and environmental compliance activities.
• Deliver orientations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training while mentoring supervisors, craft personnel, and contractor safety representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health & Safety, construction management, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of construction safety experience, including large commercial, industrial, infrastructure, mission-critical, or data center projects.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry standards, and construction safety practices.
• Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, safety documentation, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to build relationships and influence safe behavior across organizational levels.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, Microsoft Office, and safety reporting system skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, battery manufacturing, hyperscale, or similar high-tech construction.
• OSHA 500/510, OSHA 30-Hour Construction, CSP, CHST, ASP, or First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Experience in multi-employer construction environments.
