Fire Operations Oversight Consultant (Environmental Management)

Location: Richland, Washington, United States; work conducted predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with limited remote support subject to approval.

What you will do

• Review fire safety programs and conduct fire program compliance assessments.
• Evaluate contractor performance against fire safety standards and operational requirements.
• Support fire safety training programs and emergency response readiness.
• Oversee fire protection operations for the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site.
• Provide program and project management support for mission support activities in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment.
• Coordinate approved travel and support requirements with the technical point of contact and Contracting Officer.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of fire safety oversight experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or related experience.
• Knowledge of fire safety codes, emergency response, and program review.
• Vigilance, risk awareness, leadership, communication, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office in Richland, Washington.
• Facility Clearance is required; DOE clearance may be required depending on the assigned work.

Nice to have

• Environmental Management or DOE sector experience.
• Experience supporting Hanford Field Office or comparable federal programs.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, or Visio.
