What you will do
- Install, configure, and maintain VoIP and traditional telephony systems in accordance with DoD STIGs and engineering standards.
- Perform maintenance checks and troubleshoot voice communication systems to minimize downtime and maintain service availability.
- Document and baseline voice communication assets in the DoD-provided system.
- Provide technical support for voice services and coordinate with IT support teams, vendors, and network infrastructure teams.
- Prepare reports covering installations, maintenance, compliance, performance, and cost estimates.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense customers and working within a government multi-contractor team.
- Experience configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing data networks and telephony systems, including ISDN, VoIP, VoSIP, teleconferencing, and related devices.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, MAC addresses, and IP addresses, along with strong problem-solving, attention to detail, customer support, mathematics, and IT skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent education, technical training, or work experience.
- At least one active network or related telephony certification is required, such as Avaya, Nortel, or AT&T certification.
