Sr. Telecommunications Engineer

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day operational support and monitoring for telephony and contact center systems.
• Plan, forecast, implement, and define resource requirements for complex telephony and contact center environments.
• Design and document communication architectures, network topologies, hardware, software, transmission links, and signaling protocols.
• Tune system performance, evaluate products, resolve problems, and develop technical standards and interface applications.
• Develop processes, automation, monitoring, and deployment tools for communication systems.
• Act as an escalation point for major incidents, coordinate crisis response with leadership, and provide guidance to junior staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least 6 years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft telephony and Dynamics Contact Center systems, collaboration systems and endpoints, recording and workforce management systems, telecommunications, and routing.
• Strong knowledge of data and voice communications equipment, protocols, cabling, physical standards, PBX, and VoIP environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow technical standards and procedures, and coordinate with audit, risk, and compliance teams.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent certification or experience in a PBX/VoIP environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and Windows applications.
