Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator (Industrial Refrigeration)

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana, United States. Requires on-site assistance across distribution facilities and travel 70–80% of the time, including occasional travel to Canada.

What you will do

• Lead planning, execution, and oversight of mechanical maintenance projects and inspections across distribution facilities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot fixed and rotating industrial refrigeration equipment, process piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, pumps, and compressors.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, prioritize repairs, optimize resources, and ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective execution.
• Develop preventive and programmed maintenance plans, inspection protocols, records, and emergency response procedures.
• Provide remote consultation, on-site repair support, and mechanical maintenance training to facility personnel.
• Define scopes of work with vendors and contractors and supervise on-site and off-site execution.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on plant mechanical maintenance or closely related experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing fixed and rotating equipment, interpreting technical documentation, managing preventive maintenance, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP.
• Ability to interpret and apply API 510, API 570, API 653, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, NBIC, and applicable local standards.
• Project management experience covering scope development, scheduling, resource allocation, and contractor oversight.
• Ability to obtain a passport and/or temporary residence permit for travel to Canada and travel 70–80% of the time.
