Project Engineer (HVACR)

Location: Sidney, Ohio, USA; first-shift onsite position. Occasional work-from-home days may be available when aligned with business requirements.

What you will do

• Support fixed-speed residential scroll compressor development from prototype through product release.
• Use analytical tools and engineering methods to improve compressor performance, reliability, and quality.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and meet product requirements.
• Assist with DFMEA activities, technical risk identification, qualification planning, and validation planning.
• Track technical deliverables, milestones, and development activities across projects.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, validation, regulatory compliance, and technical communication with internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent field.
• 1–5+ years of experience with new product development through a systematic product release process.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not provided; candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with scroll compressor design and development.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and HVAC principles.
• Experience working effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
