Maintenance Technician (Industrial Manufacturing)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA — On-Site

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to improve reliability, uptime, and production efficiency.
• Maintain utility systems including water, air, steam, chilled water, glycol cooling systems, and related equipment.
• Interpret P&IDs, schematics, isometric drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, control circuits, switches, and gearboxes.
• Record maintenance activities, labor hours, parts usage, and work details in the CMMS.
• Support continuous improvement, root cause analysis, safety initiatives, and cross-functional facility collaboration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Industrial maintenance experience involving mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with instrumentation, control systems, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and experience diagnosing equipment and system failures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems.
• Ability to work safely at heights, climb stairs and ladders, enter confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience in food, chemical, biotechnology, or other industrial manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, agitators, air compressors, chillers, motors, and utility systems.
• Understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
