Lead Project Engineer (Scroll Compressors)

Location: Onsite in Sidney, Ohio, USA. First-shift schedule with a flexible start time; occasional work-from-home days may be available when aligned with business requirements.

What you will do

• Lead fixed-speed residential scroll compressor development from early prototypes through final product release.
• Coordinate prototyping, testing, validation, qualification plans, and technical project milestones.
• Provide technical leadership to global, cross-functional product development teams.
• Use analytical tools and DFMEA methodologies to identify risks and optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with design, advanced manufacturing, and technical teams to resolve design challenges.
• Present technical data to internal and external customers and support Lean principles in product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience with new product development through a systematic product release process.
• Experience with compressors or other rotating machinery.
• Ability to lead and mentor less experienced engineers and solve technical problems using structured methods.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Experience with scroll compressor design and development.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and HVAC principles.
