Experienced Project Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Sidney, OH, USA. Ability to travel up to 10%.

What you will do

• Lead engineering efforts for advanced HVAC compressor platforms.
• Plan, execute, and interpret development and validation testing.
• Evaluate product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost tradeoffs.
• Analyze engineering data and provide technical recommendations for product decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams on prototype and production builds.
• Support commercialization, production readiness, risk mitigation, and cross-functional product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and mechanical system design.
• Ability to manage multiple technical priorities, independently analyze problems, and develop solutions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with new product development, HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, pumps, motors, or rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanics, materials, machine design, or tribology.
• Experience with product validation, engineering testing, reliability improvement, manufacturing, or production teams.
• Familiarity with phase-gate development, Lean principles, and Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
