Labor Associate (Labor Law)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; this position sits in the Baltimore office and may include regular business travel.

Salary: $187,500–$240,000 annually, plus eligibility for annual bonuses.

What you will do

• Represent employers in traditional labor relations matters and provide advice on federal and Maryland workplace laws.
• Handle unfair labor practice charges, grievances, arbitrations, and other proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
• Represent management in NLRB elections and advise on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card check, and neutrality agreements.
• Negotiate and advise on collective bargaining agreements and obtain mass picketing injunctions.
• Review handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state law.
• Conduct management training on labor relations, workplace issues, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Maryland Bar.
• Four or more years of traditional labor law experience preferred.
• Understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and project management skills, and written and oral communication skills.
