What you will do

• Lead seasonal material vision, design strategy, and application direction for lifestyle and performance footwear.
• Define material palettes, expression frameworks, dimensional strategies, and application plans for product collections.
• Translate consumer trends and insights into material narratives, storytelling, and differentiated product experiences.
• Develop and refine material executions, pioneering new material and process innovation opportunities.
• Lead strategic material design projects from concept through execution and collaborate with product, design, merchandising, and development partners.
• Mentor design teams in material storytelling, design thinking, and consumer-centered innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial design, material design, product design, or a related field.
• 8+ years of footwear material design experience focused on lifestyle or performance categories.
• Advanced understanding of footwear materials, construction, and processes, including tooling and uppers.
• Experience with concept creation, material innovation, seasonal inspiration presentations, and mood boards.
• Ability to edit shell patterns, create tech packs, and communicate creative and technical intent to development partners.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Miro, or Lucid, plus familiarity with generative AI platforms such as Midjourney or Vizcom.
