Senior Industrial Designer (AI)

Location: Onsite at 201 Spear Street, San Francisco, CA, USA

Base pay range: $163,600–$224,600 USD annually, with annual bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Sketch, visualize, and conceptualize future consumer hardware and emerging product categories, with a focus on wearable devices and future hardware experiences.
• Create physical mock-ups to assess form factors, scale, ergonomics, and hands-on product experiences.
• Translate user research, market trends, and emerging technologies into functional and meaningful product concepts.
• Integrate generative AI tools into ideation, rendering, storytelling, and iterative design development.
• Produce AI-assisted renders, animations, movies, and other visual assets, then present and defend design intent to multidisciplinary teams and executives.
• Collaborate with UX, strategy, research, engineering, and industrial design teams in Korea; travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Design, Product Design, Transportation Design, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional industrial design experience and a portfolio demonstrating high-quality product design thinking and execution.
• Strong capabilities in sketching, 3D visualization, physical mock-up development, ergonomics, and craftsmanship.
• Portfolio demonstrating AI-assisted concept exploration and storytelling, with the ability to explain specific generative AI tools and workflows.
• Understanding of human-centered design and the ability to turn ambiguous opportunities into compelling product concepts.
• Excellent visual storytelling, presentation, communication, collaboration, and self-direction skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Transportation Design, or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience developing consumer products through engineering and manufacturing phases.
