Senior Footwear Designer (FootJoy)

Location: Fairhaven, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid role with international travel of up to 25%, primarily to Asia.

Salary: $123,683–$157,661 per year

What you will do

• Design performance-driven footwear across golf, dress, and casual categories from concept through commercialization.
• Create and detail uppers, outsoles, insoles, lacing systems, ornaments, and logos.
• Develop prototypes and production-ready products in collaboration with the Footwear Team.
• Translate consumer and market insights into color and material stories balancing creativity, functionality, and financial impact.
• Prepare specifications, detailed tech packs, and progressive presentations to support timely global footwear execution.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Management, Development, Brand Marketing, and Innovation.

Requirements

• B.S. or B.A. in Industrial Design or a related field.
• 7+ years of footwear design experience covering research, concept development, rendering, and commercialization.
• Ability to design and detail footwear from initial samples through final production, with awareness of material trends and applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong time management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for team-based work.
• Proficiency in Adobe design applications; willingness to travel internationally up to 25%, primarily to Asia.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLM, CAD, or 3D design software.
