P&C Engineer IV

Location: Augusta, Maine, United States

Salary: USD $117,998.40–$140,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead proposals, conceptual designs, execution plans, engineering cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Design relay protection and control systems, including panel arrangements, single-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, equipment wiring, and relay panel layouts.
• Perform grounding, lightning protection, and AC/DC load studies and develop related engineering reports.
• Design substation physical systems, equipment specifications, control buildings, yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, and auxiliary power systems.
• Coordinate civil/structural, network, transmission line, construction, and equipment delivery activities as Project Engineer.
• Conduct field visits, oversee construction progress and quality, review engineering work, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 7+ years of Protection and Control engineering experience, including relay protection, system modeling, and substation automation.
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI standards related to Protection and Control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel for site visits and client meetings as needed.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
