What you will do

• Create conceptual designs, execution plans, engineering estimates, and project schedules.
• Design physical substation layouts, grounding and lightning protection systems, control buildings, raceways, auxiliary AC/DC systems, and bills of material.
• Develop protection and control deliverables, including panel arrangements, one-lines, three-lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, and equipment wiring.
• Prepare engineering calculations, studies, reports, equipment specifications, and factory acceptance testing documentation.
• Coordinate design activities with civil, structural, network, and transmission line teams.
• Perform quality reviews, support process and technology improvements, communicate with clients, and provide short-term field support during construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience; a related master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Professional Engineer registration is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt standard engineering approaches to solve difficult problems.
