Process Engineer - Yield (Semiconductors)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; onsite Monday–Friday daytime role

hirify.global manufactures semiconductor products and operates a Yield & Silicon engineering team focused on fab-critical projects and performance KPIs.

What you will do

• Monitor wafer fab electrical yield, report discrepancies, and coordinate corrective and improvement actions.
• Lead cross-functional yield improvement activities with Process, Equipment, Quality, IT, Failure Analysis, logistics, production, assembly centres, and materials suppliers.
• Analyze product-specific yield performance and support teams in achieving defined yield targets.
• Maintain wafer test specifications, parametric and electrical yield stop levels, and minimum yield levels to protect outgoing product quality.
• Support lot dispositioning, silicon qualification, 8D investigations of customer complaints, new product and process technology introduction, and tool automation activities.

Requirements

• HND or degree-level qualification in an appropriate discipline.
• More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience planning and organizing qualification trials and investigations.
• Skills in documentation updates, data analysis and interpretation, problem solving, and maintaining budget yields.
• Ability to prioritize, communicate at all levels, respond to rapidly changing and high-pressure situations, and work resourcefully.
