What you will do

• Lead the product engineering team and collaborate with technology and product development teams through manufacturing release.
• Characterize new power semiconductor products before manufacturing release and support new product introduction.
• Develop an engineering database and statistical process control systems for production products.
• Manage wafer sort and final-test disposition, yield enhancement, and product performance analysis.
• Control changes for products in production and collaborate with reliability and quality teams on customer-return analysis.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in semiconductor device or materials physics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in power semiconductors.
• Detailed knowledge of the semiconductor product lifecycle, including device characterization, qualification, pre-production support, volume-production release, and product sustenance.
• Strong data analysis skills for evaluating and characterizing power semiconductors.
• Demonstrable knowledge of semiconductor materials, device physics, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to work at the Newport, South Wales, United Kingdom location.

Nice to have

• Experience with SiC or other wide-bandgap semiconductor devices.
• Yield analysis and circuit debugging experience using Six Sigma quality practices.
