What you will do

• Develop conceptual designs, execution plans, project cost estimates, and schedules.
• Design physical substation layouts, grounding and lightning protection systems, control buildings, raceways, auxiliary AC/DC systems, and bills of material.
• Prepare protection and control designs, including one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
• Perform grounding, lightning protection, and AC/DC load calculations for studies and reports.
• Develop equipment specifications for procurement and factory acceptance testing.
• Coordinate design activities with civil, structural, network, and transmission line departments and provide short-term field support during construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• EIT certification is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt standard engineering approaches to solve difficult problems.
