What you will do

• Create conceptual designs, execution plans, engineering cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Develop physical substation designs, including yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control buildings, raceways, auxiliary AC/DC systems, and bills of material.
• Produce protection-and-control deliverables, including one-lines, three-lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
• Prepare grounding, lightning protection, and AC/DC load-study calculations, reports, equipment specifications, and factory acceptance testing documentation.
• Coordinate design activities with civil, structural, network, transmission line, and other departments while communicating with clients and external personnel.
• Perform quality reviews, improve engineering tools and processes, provide short-term construction field support, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• At least 5 years of related experience; a related master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Professional Engineer registration is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and engineering judgment skills.
