Assistant Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA, United States; on-site only. Remote and hybrid options are not available. The role may include shift work, overtime, and on-call duties.

Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Complete work orders and perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, HVAC, lighting, electrical systems, and other installed building systems.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems to verify proper operation and client-specified environmental conditions.
• Maintain equipment according to preventive maintenance programs and support energy management initiatives to improve operating efficiency.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations and summon additional assistance when required.
• Perform grounds maintenance, painting, caulking, drywall work, and other assigned building maintenance duties under the supervision of the Chief Engineer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Universal CFC certification required within six months of employment.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Willingness to learn energy management systems, HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Ability to understand and give general instructions, provide strong customer service, and safely climb ladders and stairs, stand, stoop, and frequently lift at least 50 pounds.
