Building Engineer

Location: Marina, California, United States; onsite work.

Salary: $33.78–$45 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs, including painting, rust removal, minor equipment repairs, parking lot upkeep, and signage repairs.
• Maintain daily operating logs for air conditioning, fan units, utility meters, graph charts, and general complaints.
• Respond to tenant and client service requests, prioritize and assign work orders, and follow up to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections, alarm testing, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance records, inventory, schedules, and operational reports.
• Coordinate with property managers, suppliers, and department leaders to maintain building systems economically and efficiently.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in building or property maintenance or engineering.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, energy management systems, and other building mechanical equipment.
• Understanding of operating procedures and chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Flexibility to be on call for after-hours and weekend emergency requests.
• Valid driver’s license and current authorization to work full time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
