Maintenance Technician / Assistant Building Engineer

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across assigned commercial and residential properties.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, lighting, fixtures, outlets, switches, and related building systems.
• Inspect common areas, mechanical spaces, building systems, and exterior areas for maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Respond to tenant, resident, and property-management service requests professionally and promptly.
• Support construction, renovation, and property-improvement projects, coordinating with vendors and contractors when needed.
• Maintain work records, inventory, tools, supplies, replacement parts, and a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of maintenance, mechanical, facilities, or building-engineering experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, general mechanical aptitude, and practical building-maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting issues.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers or building automation systems, preventive-maintenance programs, work-order systems, and vendor coordination.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally between assigned properties are required. Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform physically active maintenance work is also required.

Nice to have

• Trade certifications or coursework in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields.
