TL;DR
Lean Transformation Leader (Chemical Manufacturing): Leading continuous improvement and operational excellence across chemical manufacturing value streams with an accent on Lean, Six Sigma, safety, environmental performance, and digitalization. Focus on coaching teams, executing Kaizen and A3 problem-solving initiatives, using Power BI and AI to identify performance gaps, and improving daily management, yield, quality, and production performance.

Location: Johnsonville Plant, New Johnsonville, Tennessee, United States. Onsite site role with openness to future relocation opportunities across the plant network.

Salary: $141,120–$220,500 annually, plus a 16% annual bonus target.

What you will do

  • Lead, teach, and coach continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events across manufacturing value streams.
  • Implement Lean tools and the hirify.global Business System, including 6S, Standard Work, Visual Management, TPM, A3 Problem Solving, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Use data analytics, Power BI, machine learning, and AI to identify performance gaps and drive improvement plans.
  • Coordinate strategic initiatives, establish milestones and management routines, and track execution in the WAVE system.
  • Support production, maintenance, laboratory, logistics, and materials teams in reducing waste and improving operational discipline.
  • Monitor safety, manufacturing cost, yield, OEE2, quality, and production performance while coaching teams on dashboards, KPIs, and countermeasures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of chemical manufacturing experience, including 5+ years implementing Lean methodologies.
  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience.
  • Experience leading Tier Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events.
  • Ability to analyze data, develop recommendations, present findings, and train others on Lean tools.
  • Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other non-immigrant status sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in PSM-regulated, high-hazard manufacturing environments.
  • Experience improving efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing processes.
  • Cross-functional experience with operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, and related functions.
  • Strong coaching and talent development capabilities.
