Senior Software Engineer, Systems Platform

Location: San Jose, California; hybrid

Targeted compensation: Up to $150,000 annually

What you will do

• Participate in the development of network system software and architecture.
• Define functional and design specifications for new features with senior engineers.
• Design and implement infrastructure through CLI, WebUI, and management applications.
• Develop rigorous software testing and automation infrastructure to ensure coverage and consistent results.
• Document code and collaborate with product documentation on user documentation.
• Support QA, customer support, and patch delivery during final testing and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience with multithreaded, multicore, real-time high-availability embedded systems.
• Experience with Linux, RTOS, or similar operating systems.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and standard IP protocols including ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, and GRE.
• Understanding of control-plane and data-plane architecture in networking devices.
• Experience with licensing technologies and device and license management platforms in embedded systems.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or OCI.
