Senior Embedded Engineer (IoT)

Location: San Jose, California or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation depends on experience and location.

hirify.global is developing an energy-efficient general-purpose processor and platform for continuously running AI/ML in embedded and IoT devices.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy firmware and applications for the company’s processors in simulation, RTL emulation, and on silicon.
• Enhance and maintain the low-level SDK and standard libraries.
• Port RTOSes to new processor architectures.
• Perform silicon validation, verification, first-silicon bring-up, and checkout activities.
• Develop bring-up test hardware and customer evaluation kits, and perform board bring-up.
• Collaborate with Digital Design and Compiler teams on silicon debugging and support customers with board development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing firmware and applications for embedded systems.
• 8+ years of experience with C and/or C++.
• Experience porting RTOSes to new processor architectures.
• Experience debugging new silicon and hardware prototypes in a laboratory environment.
• Deep knowledge of an embedded platform such as MSP430, STM32, Ambiq Apollo, PIC32, or a similar platform.
• Experience with standard embedded development and debugging tools, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

• Experience with PCB board design.
