Laboratory Technician II (Metrology)

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois, USA; onsite, full-time

Salary: USD 25.00–27.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain laboratory equipment readiness and support regulatory compliance requirements.
• Interpret calibration records for customers during onsite audits.
• Lead the resolution of out-of-tolerance events and prepare related impact assessment reports.
• Support corrective and preventive actions involving laboratory equipment.
• Prepare validation and requalification protocols and maintain equipment schedules.
• Coordinate external calibration testing and support equipment qualification or retirement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a regulated commercial laboratory working with general laboratory equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for scientific instruments such as GC, HPLC, UV, and FTIR.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with word-processing and database software.
• Advanced language proficiency required.
