Field Service Engineer (HPLC and GC)

Location: Lititz, Pennsylvania, United States; Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; overnight travel up to 25% of the time.

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Maintain, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and qualify HPLC, UPLC, and GC instrumentation.
• Recommend and implement improvements to analytical instrument systems.
• Provide advanced instrument support to customers and staff, explaining troubleshooting results and solutions.
• Source and order consumables, repair parts, and other supplies for instrument operations.
• Draft and revise standard operating procedures, calibration procedures, qualification protocols, and technical documentation.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, audits, operational reviews, and discrepancy resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field, plus at least 5 years of instrument or equipment troubleshooting and repair experience; equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory and analytical instrumentation, especially HPLC, UPLC, and/or GC.
• Knowledge of metrology standards, testing tools, equipment, and calibration practices.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting instrument, mechanical, electrical, and software-based functions.
• Ability to interpret and explain applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Correct business English is required.
