Mechanic Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Menomonie, Wisconsin, United States; onsite manufacturing role with rotating day, afternoon, and night shifts

Salary: $37.53–$39.05 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour night-shift differential and double-time pay on Sundays.

What you will do

• Follow safety procedures, identify hazards, and contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety culture.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems used in manufacturing processes.
• Maintain slitters, extruders, web systems, conveyors, winders, compressors, and pumps.
• Machine and fabricate parts, weld, braze, rig, and tram equipment.
• Perform general building repairs and recommend equipment improvements to increase performance and efficiency.
• Record completed work in an electronic logbook and collaborate with team members in an inclusive work environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical maintenance or an electro-mechanical field, or completion within six months; alternatively, a technical diploma with at least two years of maintenance experience, or a high school diploma/GED with at least five years of maintenance or mechanic experience.
• Reliable transportation to Menomonie, Wisconsin, or relocation before starting is required; relocation assistance is not available.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Successful completion of an in-person, job-related readiness assessment.
• Ability to work a structured rotating schedule that includes periodic afternoon and night shifts.
