Network Engineer

Location: San Jose, California; hybrid

Targeted compensation: up to $145,000 per year

What you will do

• Deploy, operate, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, campus, data center, and cloud networks.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related infrastructure.
• Support Cisco ACI Spine-and-Leaf data center fabrics and Cisco SD-Access campus networks, including Wi-Fi 7.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and participate in on-call response.
• Implement VPNs, ACLs, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and other network security measures.
• Plan network capacity, optimize performance, maintain architecture documentation, and collaborate with IT, security, and DevOps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in network engineering or administration.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar vendors, plus familiarity with enterprise firewalls and network monitoring tools.
• Experience with Cisco SD-Access Fabric and Cisco ACI Fabric.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or similar industry certification.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, or Terraform automation.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, network virtualization, container networking, VLAN, VXLAN, or SASE-VPN architecture.
