Network Engineer IV (Network Architecture)

Location: Remote work from the United States; Pacific Northwest-based preferred but not required. Periodic travel to the Seattle, Washington metropolitan area is required, up to 10%.

Salary: $108,253.00–$158,733.30 per year, depending on geographic market, qualifications, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design, architect, implement, and support scalable enterprise and multi-datacenter networks across routing, switching, fabric, and security domains.
• Architect and maintain Cisco ACI and Cisco SD-Access fabric environments, including segmentation, policy, underlay and overlay designs, and fabric integration.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF routing, multi-site architectures, VXLAN/EVPN segmentation, and highly available switching infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls and network access control using Forescout or Aruba ClearPass.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and service-impacting escalations, security reviews, implementation planning, and peer design reviews.
• Develop Python and Ansible infrastructure-as-code pipelines, maintain technical documentation, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States; Pacific Northwest location is preferred, with travel to the Seattle metropolitan area required up to 10%.
• 8–11 years of experience in network engineering or a closely related field.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise network design, TCP/IP, OSI, switching, BGP, OSPF, Cisco ACI, and Cisco SD-Access.
• Strong knowledge of network security architecture, Palo Alto Networks firewall policies, segmentation, and NAC enforcement.
• CCNA or higher certification required; CCNP or CCIE preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor's degree required; relevant experience may substitute for the degree at the manager's discretion.

Nice to have

• Wireless certifications.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Brocade equipment.
