Hardware/Network Admin (Network Infrastructure)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework. An active Top Secret / SCI clearance is required.

Salary: $87,677.54–$152,454.23 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor hardware and network administrators and technicians.
• Manage infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new hardware and networking implementations.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, procurement, and lifecycle management of servers, workstations, peripherals, and storage systems.
• Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot secure LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, cloud, hybrid, and SD-WAN networks.
• Maintain network security controls, including firewalls, access controls, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Manage monitoring, testing, backup, and disaster recovery processes to support high availability and business continuity.

Requirements

• Relevant bachelor's degree with 8–10 years of experience, master's degree with 6–8 years, or PhD with 3–5 years; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 7 years of hardware and network administration experience, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• Active TS/SCI clearance must be possessed and maintained.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, switches, routers, access points, firewalls, cloud networking, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure, monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG, and complex technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of access controls, encryption, IDS/IPS, IT security compliance frameworks, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Security+, A+, Azure Administrator Associate, MCSE, or VCP certification.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Docker, high-availability systems, redundancy planning, or load balancing.
